Baking for the Holiday Season

In our Montessori classroom, we cherish the century-old tradition of baking holiday cookies as a community. The aromatic scent of freshly baked cookies fills the air, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for students, teachers, and parents to come together and celebrate the joy of the holiday season. Children eagerly take on various roles in the baking process, from measuring ingredients to mixing the dough and shaping the cookies. This hands-on experience not only teaches them valuable life skills but also fosters a sense of teamwork and collaboration. As the cookies bake, laughter and chatter fill the room, creating lasting memories and strengthening the bond within our Montessori community. Finally, as everyone gathers to enjoy the delicious treats they have made together, hearts are filled with gratitude and warmth, embodying the spirit of togetherness and joy that the holiday season brings.
